Musing Mondays: My Last DNF

What was the last book you could not finish and why?

The last book that made it into my DNF list was Pure by Julianna Baggott. I got about 30% into the book, and it was just not for me. I got it for a review from Netgalley over a year ago, so I have no idea if I can even submit a review for it through there even if I had finished it. The book itself was ok up to the point that I got...I just couldn't handle the constant descriptions of fusing. I get that the fusing is important and all, but it took over the story and just got in the way for me.

Friday Feature & Follow (6)

Friday Feature & Follow is a weekly hop where book bloggers meet other book bloggers and follow their awesome blogs! It is hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read

Q: Activity! Who do you want to be? If you could choose any character from a book. What do you think that character looks like and what do you have in common?

Wow that is a seriously difficult one. I am going to pick Katniss. Not that I want to be thrown into the Hunger Games at all, but because of her character. I don't know that we have a ton in common, maybe the analytic thinking aspect that she has to understand her situation better than most could. I'm also like her when it comes to not knowing that a guy is interested. I have a chronic issue with that, I'm pretty sure I failed flirting 101 at some point. Good thing I don't really have to worry about that now, but there's times where I still fail at the whole flirtatious thing with my significant other.

Obviously, I think she looks a lot like the actress that they had play her.

Top Ten Books I Would Love From Santa

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish

~My Top Ten Books I Would Love From Santa~

I haven't read Alice in Zombieland yet but I really want to because it keeps showing up EVERYWHERE. Warm Bodies had the trailer on tv the other day for the movie and I just have to read this first! Same for World War Z!

Cinder, Everneath, Bitten, Pleasure Unbound, Hush, Hush, and Across the Universe...well...I haven't read any of them yet, and I haven't read any of the series yet. These are at the top of series I want to start though!

Shatter Me is on here because I have it from the library, but I just got the ARC for Unravel Me and it has this cool new cover. I love this design so much more than the one from the library!

What books do you want for the Holidays? I have a wishlist on Goodreads I try to keep updated because all of my family asks what books I want for Christmas and my birthday, so much easier that way.

Book Lovers Holiday Giveaway Hop ~ TWO Winners $5 Amazon.com GC's

This blog is hosted I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and Maryann from Chapter by Chapter.

I love this time of year, and I think this is a great giveaway blog hop to be participating in! It runs from December 4th-10th.

I am giving away two amazon gift cards for $5 each, so that means there will be TWO winners! I'm sorry but this is for US only, since I've had issues trying to get the codes to work with people in other countries (I don't know a ton about Amazon.com and how they work with other countries).

November Wrap-Up

This is about a few days late, but I had a pretty long weekend with a lot of homework. It's here now though! Yay!

I'm going to start doing weekly wrap-ups and monthly wrap-ups to better help keep track of what is going on around here on the blog, what I've read, what I'm going to read, etc.

Thanksgiving was pretty uneventfull here, I did make my first dinner by myself though! Usually my family goes to my grandma's for Thanksgiving, and I had planned on going this year so that she could meet my almost two year old. Sadly, she passed away a few weeks ago and obviously that wasn't going to happen. I just stayed home and made us (two adults and one toddler) a Thanksgiving dinner. Check it out! I'm pretty proud of it!

Anyways, on to what happened in November here on the blog.

Books Reviewed:

Obviously not many reviews were written last month, a lot of stuff happened so yeah. I do have a few to write though that count for November. The Goddess Test, The Goddess Hunt, and Goddess Inheritance.

I have my list of books ready for this month, I plan to get through all of these and possibly a few more!

Sort of Absent

I apologize for being sort of absent, yet again, this time it's because of classes though. I'm in my last 3 weeks of classes up to Christmas break here. I have two finals coming up, and the work load in the classes has skyrocketed. I also am barley passing my coding class, and I've already failed it once.

So, if I'm not around as much that's why. I am going to try to post a Stacking My Shelves today though, because I have a LOT to share with you! I may have to use crappy cell phone pictures for it though, apparently my camera doesn't like this computer.

As far as reviews go, I have a few that need to be written! I have The Goddess Test, The Goddess Hunt, and Goddess Interrupted. I also have The Goddess Legacy and an ARC of The Goddess Inheritance to read! So be looking forward to those reviews soon here!
